Deftly painted with a naive beauty and the most fine brushwork. The Madonna is swathed in vermillion red and blue robes. She cradles the child as he holds his hand aloft. Timeworn over the last 350 years or so with some historical restoration. Oil and gesso upon wooden panel in later gilded frame.
