This chair is a very good representation of the high end 1950s Danish and Scandinavian design that took the world by storm in the mid century. Superb and clever design of the backrest with it's attention to details. Volther clearly took inspiration from a fellow dane Finn Juhl when he designed this. It's very reminiscent of Juhl's Egyptian
